0J7A8484Senior Secondary students select from a suite of subjects. These may be Authority or Authority Registered subjects as outlined by the QCAA (Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority) syllabi and/or approved Vocational Education subjects. The Vocational Education offerings may be accessed through school based subjects and/or external providers. The College actively promotes the use of School Based Traineeships in its efforts to provide an individual education program to meet the needs of all our students.

Across Senior Secondary, students study seven academic units of work in a semester. Each unit of work is allocated approximately 205 minutes per week. While the pastoral program is embedded in all classes, there are four 40-minute sessions per week allocated to specific pastoral events.

The key to success is organisation, discipline and a balanced life. Students strive to balance out their academic aspirations, their commitment to serve the College Community in leadership roles, their need to be part of friendship groups, family groups and to earn money in paid employment.

Students continue to develop an understanding of how and where they fit into the world around them and how they can best contribute.
