The College is proud to announce that three CHAC students have achieved the top results in Queensland, in their respective ICAS competitions.

The International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) are independent skills-based assessments with a competition element. Run by the University of New South Wales, ICAS is unique, being the most comprehensive generally available suite of academic assessments and school tests for Primary and Secondary school students.

Lily was the top student in Queensland in the Year 4 ICAS English competition, which assesses reading and language skills in a range of contexts.

Oliver was the top student in Queensland in the Year 7 ICAS Computer Skills competition, which assesses skills and knowledge in a multitude of areas including databases, graphics and multimedia, internet use, and communications systems.

Joseph was the top student in Queensland in the Year 11 ICAS Science competition, which assesses students’ skills in the key scientific areas of interpreting data, applying data, and higher order skills, including investigating, reasoning and problem solving.

Well done Lily, Oliver and Joseph.
