Year 12 student Harry Button represented the states of Western Australia and Queensland in the MIGAS Awards national finals held in Newcastle, as the state winner of the MIGAS School-based Trainee of the Year. Harry and his parents were flown down, along with other winners from around the nation, to be present at the announcement of the Australian School-based Trainee of the Year. It is with great excitement and pleasure that we can announce that Harry was the national winner and is indeed the Australian School-based Trainee of the Year for 2014.

We are obviously very proud of Harry and are delighted that his dedication and commitment have been rewarded in such a way. It also recognises the diverse range of opportunities that are available for students at CHAC, and that every student who has a purpose and a passion is able to achieve great outcomes.

Special thanks need to go to our Careers Pathway Counsellor, Mrs Anne Mitchell, who works tirelessly with all our Senior students to ensure they are aware of the opportunities available to them, and to support them as they pursue their dreams. The time and effort she puts into ensuring every student remains well informed and well prepared is much appreciated by all the College community.
