Our Year 9 da Vinci Decathlon team represented the College at the National da Vinci Decathlon in Sydney over four days of the mid-year break. The team performed admirably, working hard and winning two disciplines (Science and Ideation) and placing 3rd in two others (Creative Production/Drama and Code-Breaking). Our students also attracted positive comments wherever they went for their behaviour, clear team bond and friendly demeanour, as well as compliments on the hand-knitted red scarves made for us by the mother and grandmother of one of last year’s Nationals team.

Our Year 9 team has emerged victorious as Queensland Champions and our Year 8 team (last year’s State Title holders) were Runners-up.

The hard work and training that all Primary Cross Country runners put in this season paid off with the CHAC Primary team winning Junior TAS Cross Country – Red Division!

CHAC is delighted to congratulate the Secondary Cross Country team for being declared the 2017 TAS Cross Country Champions. The Cross Country Captains give their wrap of the competition:

College Closed – Friday 31 March.

As a consequence of the Premier’s announcement, we have made the decision for the College to remain closed tomorrow. We regret to advise that due to this closure we are unable to accommodate any students at the College on Friday 31 March.

Students who wish to access their lockers may do so on Monday 3 April.

We will inform you of an alternate date for the Cross Country in Term 2 as soon as possible.

We wish all of our families a safe and enjoyable Easter holiday period, and look forward to enjoying some drier conditions in the future.
